Electronic invoicing in Morocco: the complete guide

Electronic invoicing is a framework overseen by the Moroccan tax authority (DGI) that will become mandatory for Moroccan companies on a phased schedule. Karizma is an Odoo integrator and software publisher based in Casablanca: our DGI e-invoicing connection is already live in production and we have onboarded over 30 e-invoicing clients in France. We help Moroccan companies get ready before the reform takes effect.

What is electronic invoicing?

Electronic invoicing means issuing, exchanging and archiving invoices in a structured digital format approved by the Moroccan tax authority, instead of paper or ordinary PDF files. The goals: fight tax fraud, speed up VAT recovery and simplify administrative procedures for companies. Every invoice will carry standardised data and will flow through the tax administration's digital platform.

How to get your company ready

1
Digitalise your invoicing

Move away from manual invoices and issue compliant documents (VAT, ICE common company identifier) from a reliable information system.

2
An information system that is ready

Adopt a system such as Odoo that connects invoicing to accounting and inventory, and that can be linked to the DGI platform once the requirement applies.

3
Expert support

A partner that tracks every DGI update and keeps your system current. Karizma has already rolled out electronic invoicing in production for more than 30 clients in France.
